	Welcome to the West Country Cup. This outstanding event is one of Britain's foremost Easter competitions, emphasising international football and family fun. Based in Newquay, Cornwall, one of Europe's leading holiday resorts, the tournament attracts teams from all over the UK. Teams from Europe and the USA have also particapated in the tournament. The 2011 West Country Cup event brought together over 70 teams from 40 different clubs! The competition provides an unforgettable and unique international family atmosphere for young players, parents and friends with a passion for the world's most popular game.

The West Country Cup has chosen Newquay, Cornwall as the venue for this major youth and family football festival. It's position and attractions make it the ideal place for teams to visit.

This one time fishing village is one of the top five most popular holiday destinations in the UK. It's eleven golden beaches and dramatic coastline, combined with a vast selection of accommodation and activities, has earned it the title of the premier resort of the West Country. Newquay is also known as "Surf City" and has become the centre for surfing activity in the UK having also hosted the World Surfing Championships. Due to it's central position, Newquay is ideally situated giving easy access to all the major tourist attractions in Cornwall. The perfect location!

Accommodation	TOP
Tournament accommodation is in holiday homes is at the outstanding Trevelgue Holiday Park situated in a beautiful area close to Newquay town and it's picturesque harbour. The spectacular Cornish north coast is only 5 minutes drive away. Trevelgue Park specialises in catering for families and it's excellent facilities and activities provide the ideal venue for our tournament participants and all the family.
These include indoor swimming pool, an adventure play park, pitch and putt, amusement centre, pool tables, a supermarket, restaurants, a launderette, evening entertainment and much more. Alternative accommodation packages are available in selected holiday homes, guest houses and hotels in Newquay, offering a choice of facilities. Contact the ISL office for details. All accommodation must be booked through the West Country Cup as part of the tournament package.

Dates
Tuesday 10th April to Saturday 14th April. Teams arrive on Tuesday 10th April from 3pm and depart on Saturday 14th April. Matches are played on the 11th / 12th / 13th April.

Eligibility and Organisation
The competition is open to club teams who, through their national associations, are members of FIFA. Teams are divided into groups of 3 to 5 teams with each playing the other in the qualifying rounds. Qualifying teams progress to play offs which lead to the finals. All teams are required to provide, in advance, a list of players together with a letter of authority from their national association. The competition is approved by the English FA and the English Women's FA.

B	Boys under 9 as at 31st August 2011 (7-a-side)
C	Boys under 10 as at 31st August 2011 (7-a-side)
D	Boys under 11 as at 31st August 2011 (9-a-side)
E	Boys under 12 as at 31st August 2011 (11-a-side)
F	Boys under 13 as at 31st August 2011 (11-a-side)
G	Boys under 14 as at 31st August 2011 (11-a-side)
H	Boys under 15 as at 31st August 2011 (11-a-side)
I	Boys under 16 as at 31st August 2011 (11-a-side)
J	Girls Under 14 as at 31st August 2011 (7-a-side)
K	Girls Under 16 as at 31st August 2011 (11-a-side)

Players Registration

7-a-side	Teams can register a pool of 12 players. All 5 substitutes may be used in each match.
9-a-side	Teams can register a pool of 14 players. 5 substitutes may be used in each match.
11-a-side	Teams can register a pool of 18 players. 5 substitutes may be used in each match.

Proof of Age
All players must be able to show proof of identity and age. The Tournament recognises International Associations whose registration dates commence 1st January

Playing Periods

Class	All Matches
ABCIJ	2 x 15 minutes
DEFK	2 x 30 minutes
GH	2 x 35 minutes

Team Registration Fee
The registration fees are £85 per team. Teams will be registered only on receipt of this fee. All bookings must be made by 28th February 2012.

Rules
The West Country Cup is played in accordance with the relevant FIFA and FA rules. Qualified referees and referee assistants are used in all matches.

Football Fields
The West Country Cup is played on grass fields at the excellent Newquay Sports Centre and surrounding facilities.
