A new football tournament for U9 to U19 boys in the beautiful and historic city of Nijmegen in the east of the Netherlands. £199 per person Fully inclusive of:
Prices The price is £199 per person based on 45+ persons travelling and staying in Arnhem Stayokay (youth hostel - half board basis) or Center Parcs Limburgse Peel (6 / 8 bed bungalows - self catering basis) for 3 nights.
Typical Itinerary 4 day / 3 night tour Fri 6th April: Depart local area by executive coach for the channel port. Enjoy the many facilities on board ship before continuing your journey to Holland. Check into your accommodation, rest of day at leisure. Sat 7th April: The Nijmegen Easter Cup commences today with group games. Local excursion if required, for example Amsterdam or Dusseldorf. Sun 8th April: Placement matches and finals. Trophy presentations. Local excursion if required. Mon 9th April: Depart Holland around midday, earlier if you prefer a stopover, such as the beautiful city of Bruges, or a hypermarket. Continue journey to your local area arriving during the evening. Typical Itinerary 5 day / 4 night tour As above but with Monday as a free day for sightseeing, e.g. Stadium Tour, Theme Park, Amsterdam, or for relaxing at your accommodation. Return from Holland on Tuesday. Extra night cost £20 per person (Center Parcs).
Transport Executive coach with video, wc and hot drinks facility included free of charge for groups of 25 persons or more. Smaller groups will have luxury standard coaches suitable for the size of their party, upgrades to executive vehicles are available. For an econonical option, smaller groups may share with another team at £229 per person. Flight Options Should you wish to travel by air, the most suitable airports to fly into are Amsterdam, Eindhoven and Dusseldorf (Weeze or International), we arrange transfers from here to your accommodation and sports grounds. Prices based on full occupancy of accommodation. Limburgse Peel, near Venray, 40 minutes (no supplement) Het Meerdal, near Venray, 40 minutes (+£20 per person) Het Heyderbos, south of Nijmegen, 20 minutes (+£20 per person) De Eemhof, east of Amsterdam, 60 minutes (+£20 per person) Medium Class Hotel (+£20 per person) Campanile at Zevenaar (40 minutes) and other hotels in the Nijmegen area. Papendal Hotel and National Sports Centre (+£60 per person) The hotel and congress centre is located on the outskirts of Arnhem, aproximately 30 minutes from Nijmegen. Papendal boasts superb football and sports facilities and regularly plays host to top national and international teams. Football
The competition will be played on the outskirts of Nijmegen, the oldest city in the Netherlands. The club have a modern facility with 4 quality pitches, spacious clubhouse, ample changing rooms and first aid facility. A maximum of 10 teams per age group will be split into groups of 4 or 5. On Saturday teams will play group games, and on Sunday will play further matches and knock out games to determine winners and final positions. The tournament will be played at a lower level than many International tournaments and age dispensations can be requested.
History 2012 will be the 1st Nijmegen Easter Cup. Clubs are expected to compete from the UK and Holland, with the possibility of teams participating from other European countries. Location Nijmegen is a historic city of 160,000 people in the east of the Netherlands. The city sits on the River Waal, and has a bustling Waterfront with bars, restaurants, casino, and wonderful views of the famous Nijmegen bridge and surrounding countryside. The 2000 year old city is located 4 hours from Calais, 30 miles from Dusseldorf Weeze airport and 70 miles from Amsterdam. Sightseeing / Excursions Sightseeing possibilities included Amsterdam / Ajax Stadium, and Eindhoven / PSV Stadium. Theme Park options include De Efteling at Tilburg, and Movie World and Phantasialand in Germany. Meals Snacks and refreshments will be available throughout the tournament days in the clubhouse. In Our Opinion The Nijmegen Easter Cup is a suitable tournament for teams requiring a competition which isn't too strong. Nijmegen is a delightful city, and we expect a high level of interest for the inaugural tournament in 2012.
