NIJMEGEN EASTER CUP4th and 5th April 2015 1 day football tournaments for U9 to U19 boys in the beautiful and historic city of Nijmegen in the east of the Netherlands. Price from £199 per person
Nijmegen Nijmegen, the oldest city in the Netherlands with a 2000 year history, is a city of 160,000 people in the east of the country. The city sits on the river Waal and has a bustling waterfront with bars, restaurants, casino and wonderful views of the famous Nijmegen bridge and surrounding countryside. Nijmegen is located 1-2 hours from Amsterdam, and 4-5 hours from Calais. It's also very accessible via the ports of Hook of Holland, Rotterdam or Zeebrugge, and via Dusseldorf airports (approx 30-60 minutes). Fully inclusive of:
Prices The price of £199 per person is based on 45+ persons travelling and staying at Center Parcs Limburgse Peel (self catering), Arnhem Youth Hostel (half board basis), or Nijmegen 3* hotel (bed and breakfast basis). See below for supplements/reductions.
Typical Itinerary 4 day / 3 night tour Fri 3rd April: Depart local area by executive coach for the channel port. Enjoy the many facilities on board ship before continuing your journey to Holland. Check into your accommodation, rest of day at leisure. Sat 4th April: The Nijmegen Easter Cup (Saturday tournament) or friendly match versus local Dutch team. Sun 5th April: The Nijmegen Easter Cup (Sunday tournament) or friendly match versus local Dutch team. Mon 6th April: Depart Holland around midday, earlier if you prefer a stopover, such as the beautiful city of Bruges, or a hypermarket. Continue journey to your local area arriving during the evening. Typical Itinerary 5 day / 3 night tour Depart around midnight on Thursday evening and travel through the night arriving Holland at lunchtime on Friday, giving you more free time at your destination on arrival day to relax and unwind.  Supplement + £10 per person Typical Itinerary 5 day / 4 night tour Depart Friday morning but with Monday as a free day for sightseeing, e.g. Stadium Tour, Theme Park, Amsterdam, or for relaxing at your accommodation.  Return Tuesday. Supplement +£20 per person (Center Parcs). Transport Executive coach with video, wc and hot drinks facility included free of charge for groups of 25 persons or more. Smaller groups will have luxury standard coaches suitable for the size of their party, upgrades to executive vehicles are available. For an economical option, smaller groups may share with another team at £229 per person.
Sailings There is a choice of short, medium and long sea crossings, plus the Channel Tunnel. Please note cabin accommodation is provided on the overnight sailings from Newcastle -Amsterdam and from Hull - Rotterdam.
Flight Options Should you wish to travel by air, the most suitable airports to fly into are Amsterdam, Eindhoven and Dusseldorf (Weeze or International), we arrange transfers from here to your accommodation and sports grounds. Prices on request.
The following accommodation is available in Nijmegen and surrounding region. Arnhem, Doorwerth, Apeldoorn and other Stayokays within 30-60 minutes. Het Buitencentrum is a groups accommodation 10-15 minutes from venue. 3* to 5* bungalow parks with sub tropical pool complexes, an extensive range of sport and recreational facilities, shops, bars and restaurants. Prices based on full occupancy of accommodation.

Papendal Hotel and National Sports Centre (+£60 per person) The hotel and congress centre is located on the outskirts of Arnhem, aproximately 30 minutes from Nijmegen. Papendal boasts superb football and sports facilities and regularly plays host to top national and international teams. Football
Categories
For 2015, The Nijmegen Easter Cup will consist of two 1 day tournaments. It's possible for your team to play in one or both tournaments. For teams wanting to play in one tournament, a friendly match can be arranged for the other day, if required. The Easter tournaments will be played on the outskirts of Nijmegen, the oldest city in the Netherlands. The club have a modern facility with 4 quality pitches, spacious clubhouse, ample changing rooms and first aid facility. A maximum of 10 teams per age group will be split into groups of 4 or 5. Age dispensations can be requested.
History 2015 will be the 4th Nijmegen Easter Cup. Clubs are expected to compete from the UK and Holland, with the possibility of teams participating from other European countries. Roll of Honour
Sightseeing / Excursions Sightseeing possibilities include stadium visits at Ajax Stadium, PSV Stadium, Vitesse Arnhem, Borussia Dortmund and Schalke 04. Theme Park options include De Efteling at Tilburg, and Movie World and Phantasialand in Germany.  Meals Snacks and refreshments will be available throughout the tournament days in the clubhouse. In Our Opinion The Nijmegen Easter Cup is a suitable tournament for teams requiring a competition which isn't too strong. It's also ideal for clubs who have more than one team as all pitches are on one venue. Nijmegen is a delightful city, and we expect a high level of interest for the third tournament in 2015.
