Welcome to the Scotland Summer Cup. The event will be staged for the 3rd time in 2012 in the historic, Royal Burgh of Renfrew, near to Glasgow. More than 80 teams are expected to participate in the tournament. The event is played on 17 excellent pitches in one location over two days.
Renfrew is located 7 miles from Glasgow City Centre and 3 miles from Glasgow Airport. The tournament has excellent air, rail and road connections making it very accessible from other areas of the UK and Europe.

Accommodation is provided at the University of Glasgow, 15 minutes from the tournament location and Glasgow city centre. Rooms are twin bedded and price includes full Scottish breakfast. Half and full board options are also available.
Price is £69 per person 2 nights. £20 per person extra night.
Hotels are available, including the Holiday Inn and the Campanile, located just 2 miles from the tournament.
Price is £99 per person 2 nights, £35 per person extra night.

Xscape at nearby Braehead features indoor snow dome, rock climbing, adventure golf, bowling and laser games, 12 screen cinema, bars and restaurants.
The football tournament is played on two consecutive weekends, Saturday 4th and 5th August (11 a sie) and on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th August (7 a side). Teams arrive on Friday and have the choice of departing on Sunday after the tournament, or staying an extra night and leaving on Monday.
The competition is open to club teams who, through their national associations, are members of FIFA. Teams are divided into groups of 4 teams, with each playing each other in the qualifying rounds. Qualifying teams progress to play-offs which lead to the finals. All teams are required to provide, in advance, a list of players together with a letter of authority from their national association. The competition is approved by the Scotland Football Association.

There are 8 age groups and is open to boys U8 to U16 born:
1997, 1998, 1999, 2000 (11 a side) - 4th and 5th August 2012
2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 (7 a side) - 11th and 12th August 2012
Games are 2 x 20 minutes, except finals which are 2 x 25 minutes. All teams are guaranteed 6 games.
All players must be able to provide proof of identity and age. The tournament recognises International Association (e.g. England / USA) whose registration dates commence 1st September and age dispensation may be applied for.

The registration fees are £75 per team (7 a side) and £125 per team (11 a side). Teams will be registered only on receipt of this fee. All bookings are subject to availability and must be made by 30th April 2012.
