The tournament for boys U8 to U15 will be played in the beautiful city of Bruges for the 5th time in 2024. 

BRUGES

Bruges is one of Europe's most visited and best preserved cities. The historic city centre is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and Bruges is often referred to as the 'Venice of the North', due to the many beautiful canals and bridges.

The city is easy to reach for UK teams, being only 20 minutes to an hour from the channel ports of Zeebrugge, Dunkirk and Calais.

Bruges is also accessible via Eurostar or by air via Brussels.

The price of £209 per person is based on 50+ persons travelling, and staying at Sun Parks De Haan (5 / 8 / 12 bed villas),  Bruges area hotel (bed and breakfast), or Youth Hostel (half board) for 3 nights:  

TYPICAL ITINERARY 4 day / 3 night tour

TYPICAL ITINERARY 5 day / 3 night tour

Depart before Thursday midnight and travel through the night to arrive in Belgium around Friday lunchtime, giving you more free time at your destination on arrival day to relax and unwind. Supplement +£10 per person.

TYPICAL ITINERARY 3 day / 2 night tour

Bruges location close to the Channel ports provides an ideal opportunity for teams wanting a short break tour at an economical price. Depart UK on Friday morning return Sunday after the trophy presentation (Not available at Sun Parks). 

TRANSPORT

Executive coach with video, wc and hot drinks facility included free of charge for groups of 25 persons or more. Smaller groups will have luxury standard coaches suitable for the size of their party, upgrades to executive vehicles are available. For an economical option teams may share with other teams at a cost of £249 per person. 

There is a choice of short and long sea routes plus the Channel Tunnel. Please note cabin accommodation is provided on the overnight journey from Hull to Zeebrugge.

FLIGHT OPTIONS

Should you wish to travel by air the most suitable airports to fly into are Brussels International and Charleroi, we arrange transfers from here to your accommodation and sports ground. Prices on request.

EUROSTAR

Should you wish to travel by Eurostar, transfer at Brussels Midi for trains to Bruges.

     

ACCOMMODATION

The following accommodation is available in Bruges and surrounding areas:

Sun Parks De Haan

De Haan is located in the dunes of the Belgian coast, close to the seaside resorts of Ostend and Blankenberg, and within half an hour of Bruges. Sun Parks De Haan has a sub tropical pool, an extensive range of sport and leisure facilities, shops, bars and restaurants. Prices based on full occupancy of accommodation.

Youth Hostels

Youth hostels are available in Bruges, and also in the Belgian coast resorts of Ostend, Blankenberg and Oostduinkerke.

  

Bruges youth hostel is located within walking distance of the city centre and train station. Rooms are 4 - 6 bedded with private shower / wc, or with shared facilities. The hostel has recreational facilities for players and a cosy bar for parents.

Hotels

The Ibis Bruges centrum is located close to the city centre and train station. Rooms are 2-3 bedded with private shower / wc. 

Other hotels are available in Bruges and on the Belgian coast at Ostend and Blankenberg.

FOOTBALL

The competition will be played at St Pieter, a suburb of Bruges. Teams will be split into groups of 4, 5 or 6. On Saturday teams will play group games and on Sunday knock out games, play-off matches and final. Age dispensations may be applied for.

The venue has 3 full size grass pitches with clubhouse and canteen, changing facilities, first aid assistance.

SIGHTSEEING EXCURSIONS

In Bruges itself visit the Club Brugge stadium, or the Chocalates and Frites museums! On the coast the city of Ostend and the seaside resort of Blankenberg are worth a visit. At Ypres, forever linked with World War 1, is the site of the Menin Gate where the Last Post is played every evening. Nearby is Bellewaerde Theme Park.
