A small sided ladies football tournament, with a choice of two weekends, held over two days near Magaluf, theÂ party capital of Majorca.

LOCATION

The lovely resort of Santa Ponsa is the setting for the Magaluf Ladies. Santa Ponsa is situated on the glorious south west coast of Majorca and offers great beaches, watersports, bars and restaurants. Magaluf is just 10 minutes away by taxi, and the capital Palma and it's airport about 30 minutes distance.

OUTLINE ITINERARY

Thursday 9th or 16th May	Optional arrival day. Transfer to your resort. Check in to your accommodation. Rest of day to relax by the pool or beach, and sample the fantastic nightlife. 9pm - Opening Ceremony 10pm - Opening Party with Professional DJ
Friday 10th or 17th May	Optional arrival day. The Magaluf Ladies commences. Teams have the option of playing Friday and Sunday, or Saturday and Sunday.Â
Saturday 11th or 18th May	The Magaluf Ladies 5's continues with first round group games.Â Tonight there are parties by the sports complex and at the meeting point by the meeting point, The Manhattan Bar.Â
Sunday 12th or 19th May	Tournament continues with finals followed by presentation of the trophies and socialising. Â 9pm - Closing Ceremony 10pm - Closing Theme Party with Professional DJ.
Monday 13th or 20th May	Teams depart. Extra nights are available.

FLIGHTS

Flights are available from most UK and major International airports, we can assist if required. Teams can travel any dates around the tournament day in order to secure cheapest flights.

Low cost airlines Easyjet, Ryanair, Jet2,Â Thomson and others offer reasonable priced flights to Majorca.

ACCOMMODATION

We feature the 3* Santa Ponsa Playa and the Verdemar Apartments in Santa Ponsa.

Santa Ponsa Playa rooms are twin bedded with shower, w.c. and satellite TV. Half board basis; breakfast and dinner (buffet basis). Extra nights available at Â£52 per person.

The Verdemar Apartments are studios or 1 bedroom apartments (maximum 4 persons) with kitchen, bathroom, balcony and sea view. Self catering basis.Â Extra nights at Â£35 per person.

Underoccupancy supplements, 4 nights: 3 persons +Â£36, 2 persons +Â£54 (per person)

For those seeking a superior hotel we also use the 4* Hotel Rey Don Jaime, opposite the tournament complex and just 10 minutes from Magaluf.

FOOTBALL

The football tournament is played at CD Santa Ponsa, close to the centre of the resort and within walking distance of the fantastic beach. It's a nice facility with latest generation artificial pitches, bar and restaurant with satellite TV and beer terrace.

More than 2,200 players compete in the mens and womens sections from 32 countries.

On the first weekend, 10th to 13th May, there is an additional option to play in a Ladies 7 v 7 competition.

On the second weekend, 17th to 20th May, there is also a Ladies 35+ event, 5 a sideÂ

HISTORY

The tournament has a long and established history and will run alongside the Majorca 5â€™s mens event which has now been running on the Island for 15 years.
