Valencia, Spain's 3rd city has reinvented itself in recent years. The city is now hosting blue riband sporting events such as The Americas Cup and Formula 1. The iconic City of the Arts and Sciences is a modern architectural masterpiece and has the tourists flocking to its many attractions and entertainment areas.

Valencia's sandy beaches and port area have had a makeover and make for a relaxing day out with many fine bars and restaurants. Add to this the charm and history of the Old Town, a warm climate, excellent local gastronomy and lively nightlife and you have a wonderful weekend destination.

A visit to Valencia CFs 68,000 Mestalla stadium is a popular trip. Next door to the stadium is Manolo's Bar and Museum, a tribute to Valencia's and Spain's 'No 1 fan'

Flights

Flights are available to Valencia from London Stansted, Bristol, East Midlands, Manchester and Dublin with Ryanair, and from London Gatwick with Easyjet. Teams can travel any dates around the tournament in order to secure the cheapest flights.

Transfer time from Valencia Airport to hotel is approximately 25 minutes.

Accommodation

There is a choice of accommodation:

We use a city centre hostel close to the Cathedral, Old Town and nightlife area of Carmen. Rooms are multi bedded (2-12 bedded) with shower, wc.

The 3* NH Ciudad de Valencia Hotel is ideally located in a vibrant area between the city centre and the beaches, and within walking distance of the City of Arts and Sciences. Rooms are twin bedded with shower, w.c. and satellite T.V. and breakfast is included.

Football

The 4th Valencia 5's football tournament will be played on a brand new state of the art football complex, 10 minutes from the centre of the city. Here there are 8 ‘English’ style 5 a side pitches with latest generation turf, bar, beer terrace, restaurant, and ample changing facilities.

Matches are 2 x 10 minutes and all teams play a minimum of 6 games. We expect a maximum of 16 teams with the majority of teams from the Valencia region. Players receive a free lunch and free health drinks throughout the tournament.

Valencia is a fantastic weekend destination and offers a great combination of football, beach, city sightseeing and nightlife.
