Barcelona

Barcelona a bustling, vibrant city of 3 million people, is nestled between the mountains of Catalonia and the Mediterranean Sea, and offers a winning combination of sun, sea, sand and football. The city has great nightlife too with bars, clubs and restaurants open until the early hours.

Outline Itinerary

Fri 5th October Teams to arrive into Barcelona, check into accommodation and free time to explore this great city
Sat 6th October The ISL Barca 7’s, followed by presentation of the trophies and socialising.
Sun 7th October Free day to enjoy the many sights of Barcelona including for all football fans a tour of the world famous Nou Camp, optional return day.
Mon 8th October Return to the UK

  • Meet and Greet on arrival in Barcelona

Flights are available from most U.K. airports, contact us for free advise or assistance if required.

  

Accommodation

We use a choice of accommodation in Barcelona, 3*Hotels and 3* hostels.

Hotel rooms are twin or triple bedded with shower, w.c. and satellite T.V. and breakfast is included.

Hostel rooms are multi bedded and breakfast is not usually included.

Football

The football tournament is played at Brafa overlooking Barcelona. There is a clubhouse with bar, changing rooms and first aid facility.

Matches are 1 x 15 minutes or 2 x 10 minutes and all teams play a minimum of 5 or 6 games. It is anticipated that 8-10 teams will participate in the event.

Teams are expected from England and Catalonia with teams also representing ex-pat communities in Barcelona. The 2017 competition saw teams compete from Holland, Sweden and Spain. Winners were McBalls FC (Stockholm), Runners up Lokomotif (Barcelona), 3rd place Prospe (Barcelona), 4th place VOC (Rotterdam).

The previous year, the 2016 winners were Touche (Amsterdam). Bolivar, representing the Bolivian community in Barcelona were 2nd. KFC Eksel from Belgium won the plate competition.

Social Programme

A tour of the Nou Camp stadium and museum can be arranged and match tickets for home games at Barcelona or Espanyol can be supplied if required.
